Tea Rage

In this week's episode of the show, Claire and I talk about Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater. Claire had a few rage moments in this episode about the mishandling of her most precious thing... tea. Here she is getting ready to explain just why things are so bad in this book about it. I meanwhile cannot control my laughter.

The Raven Boys get a visitor from the UK, where, if you know Claire at all, they take their tea very seriously. Unfortunately The Raven Boys do not and they gulp microwave water to prepare a cup. This sends Claire into hysterics. Please do not tell her if you microwave water. She will never speak to you again.

Despite how much Claire talks about tea in this episode, that's not actually what it's about. It's about book three of The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. Check out the summaries for book one and book two, then keep reading for a few details about book three.

The Raven Boys plus Blue need to head into the caves in their small town in search of Blue's mother who recently disappeared. They are getting closer to finding the missing mythical king, Glendower, and they believe that he's underground, too. They learn from the psychics that Blue lives with that there are three sleepers underground, one that they are supposed to wake, probably Glendower, one that Blue's mother is definitely not supposed to wake, and another one. Unfortunately, they find the other one and she ends up being a crazy witch who may or may not have been sleeping for hundreds of years that they now have to deal with. Do they end up finding Blue's mom? Or Glendower? And what about that sleeper that they're not supposed to wake? Read the book, check out our summary and listen to the episode to find out what happens!

Until next time!
