In book three of this quartet, Sophronia and her friends are outside of Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality for the majority of the book, first attending a masquerade ball and then burgling a train. That's right. It's a train heist book! Sophronia's friend Sidheag has to get home to Scotland and, well, how else is she going to get there? Stealing a train is the only option. But why does she need to get there so badly? Why are the Picklemen after the train? Why are there vampire drones on the train? And why are there naked werewolves?!
