In our episode this week, which sounds TERRIBLE because I'm in my new house in a completely empty room full of echoes, is all about The Raven King, the end of The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. Claire is happy to be finished with this series because she didn't like it very much, but I love it, so she stuck around just for me. Here we are pretending to be trees, which if you listen to the episode, you know we really appreciate.
So what happens in this book? The Raven Boys plus Blue spend nearly all their time trying to figure out a way to save Gansey, who they've all known is going to die since book one, from dying. They hope to find Glendower, the mythical, sleeping, Welsh favor-granting king that Gansey's been searching for for years, because he's really the only way they can think of to do it. Unfortunately, another sleeper was awoken at the end of book three and they are not good at all. In fact, that sleeper is a demon and it is destroying everything and everyone, meaning Ronan, Adam, Blue and Gansey. What are they going to do? How are they going to stop the demon?
