One of Us Is Upset About The Ending
Wait, no, that's both of us. Don't get us wrong, we did enjoy the book, but... we both agree that it could have been better. What book are we talking about? One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus. Listen to our episode all about it! I don't want to write too much about it here in the post because it's a mystery and, while I love spoilers and Fictional Hangover is all about them, I sometimes feel badly about spoiling mysteries because, you know, the mystery is the whole point.
So instead, I'll share a brief synopsis. You might remember Simon Kelleher and his blog About That that almost ruined four lives at school a little while ago and ended one life in One of Us Is Lying. Now someone else is revealing secrets at Bayview High, but this time, it's through a schoolwide game of Truth or Dare. Maeve Rojas, the younger sister who helped solve the Simon Kelleher mystery in the first book, is back! This time, she's starring in her own mystery with her friends Knox and Phoebe. The original Bayview Four (Bronwyn, Nate, Addy and Cooper) do pop up in this one, but it's not about them anymore. And this time, it's a whole lot worse.
Here's a picture from our recording where we are puzzled about something, but I won't say what.
You know, you could, if you wanted to, join our Patreon Bonus! tier so you can watch these videos and see what we're puzzled about. We make some REALLY GOOD FACES whilst recording and often make a whole lot of hilarious mistakes. It's fun.
