Sookie, our favorite telepathic waitress, is put to work thanks to her special ability and is sent to Dallas to find a missing vampire. While she's away, a maenad stops in Bon Temps for a visit and everyone starts going to orgies. One of her friends is killed and she can't solve his murder until she finds this vampire, but he's been kidnapped by an anti-vampire cult! So many things are going on in Sookie's life, but at least she's got Vampire Bill by her side... most of the time. The rest of the time Eric the Viking Vampire is there AND WE'RE ALL OKAY WITH THAT.
