In this episode of the show, we are taking it way back with our discussion of Matched by Ally Condie.
In Matched, Cassia Reyes lives in The Society, and it's pretty much a perfect utopia, which definitely means it's actually terrible. After she turns 17, Cassia goes to a banquet where she finds out who The Society has chosen to be her Match, aka who she has to marry. And guess what! She is Matched with her best friend, Xander! She receives a memory card with all his information on it. But oh no! That memory card shows another boy's face, and it's another boy she knows, Ky! Let the love triangle begin!
There's so much more to this book than that, but some important questions to think about are: Why did Ky's face show up? Which boy will she choose? And most importantly, what does The Society have to do with it?
