Looking Into the Future

Did you know that we can see the future? It's true, we can. We learned tasseomancy from Professor Trelawney and we've just finished our tea.

Not actually our teacup, this is an image from Wikimedia Commons.

That definitely looks like someone sitting with a blanket on their lap reading a book if you ask me.

Anyway, since several of you have flat out refused to listen to our shows because we spoil everything we talk about, we thought we'd give you an idea of some of the books we're going to be talking about in the next month or so so you can read and not be spoiled. We're so kind!

Coming up next, as in this week, we're going to be discussing The Hunger Games. Surely you've read that one, right? Or at least watched the movies?

After that, and not necessarily in this order, we're going to be discussing:

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake (Only the main books, not the novellas, and yes, even though the series isn't finished yet because we have a surprise!)

Finishing School by Gail Carriger

The Maze Runner by James Dashner (Again, only the primary works, no novellas.)

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Sisters of Blood and Spirit and Strange the Dreamer are both duologies, you know, just two books in the series, so you should definitely be able to read those before the shows air. Hopefully you've already read The Maze Runner or watched those movies, so we're giving you some catch up time with that series, more time to read other books. Finishing School has four books and they're excellent, so surely you'll zip right through them, and the audio is absolutely fantastic and likely available at your library on Overdrive or Libby, so you don't have any excuse not to have those read when we discuss them, either. Three Dark Crowns isn't finished yet, so you only have three to read with that one, so again, no excuses!

Be sure to send us Would You Rather questions for any of those books if you've read them already, or for any of the books we've already discussed. We'll still answer them! Send us questions here on our site, or on any social media (facebook.com/fictionalhangover; @fictionalhangover on Instagram; @fictionalhangov on Twitter, or in an email to fictionalhangover@gmail.com.

Now, seriously, get to reading everyone! You've got at least 11 books to read now, since you've already read or watched The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, right? RIGHT?!

Busily yours,

Amanda
