Claire and I had way too much fun during this episode about Before the Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray and narrated by January LaVoy. We're SO excited about the final book in this series that comes out NEXT WEEK! The King of Crows.
You know how we always talk about being cursed? Well, in this episode, we were haunted by the ghost of Mr. Bennington who visits our favorite character in the series, Theta. I don't even know how it happened, but then it never stopped. He even has a Twitter account now. Because of all the interruptions by Mr. Bennington, we recorded for over three hours, but don't worry, I cut out an hour of our shenanigans. Do you have any interest in hearing what gets cut? If you do, tell me and I'll make it happen.
Anyway, in addition to the haunting, we did manage to discuss what happens in the book and how our characters have to talk to ghosts and repair a tear between the worlds so the evil King of Crows can't take over. But as the title of the next book is indeed The King of Crows, it doesn't seem like they've done what they're supposed to do. You should probably read it though, or at least listen to the episode. Also, it's a great refresher if you, like us, are getting the book when it comes out next week.
